As a dog lover and owner, or parent, your dog is going to get sick from time to time. When this happens, all that you want to do is to make them feel better. Here, at mysickdogs.com, you will find many types of ailments and some advice on how to treat them.
I’m an animal lover at heart. While I would do just about anything to help any animal, helping dogs is my true passion. It always has been. Whether it be a tummy ache, a bout of worms, a torn ligament, tooth infection, or cancer, and anything else that you can think of.
I’ve helped not only my own dogs, but others’ as well. Although a veterinarian is truly the best option for most illnesses, I have had many times when I was able to help my fur baby get better on our own.
I have had a dog with Epilepsy, a dog with cancer, I have just recently helped (and am continuing to) help my friend with her dog that had torn a ligament in her leg. I don’t know everything, of course, and I would never claim that I do.
But I DO know that there have been times that I’ve taken a dog to the vet, only to come home and figure out other ways to make her better.
My Goal is Simple…
I love to help people make their dogs feel better. Period. Whether you have a puppy with a tummy ache, or an old-timer with arthritis, I know that all you want is to make them better. While some things HAVE to be taken care of by a veterinarian, there are many things that you can do at home.
I aim to have as many dog illnesses as possible, and provide tips and advice on things that you can do at home to make your fur baby feel better. I will NEVER suggest that you do not see a vet.
That would be like someone contracting some kind of disease and my saying ‘you don’t have to see a doctor about that, just do this…’. That is completely absurd, and as I’ve said before, there are times when you HAVE to see a vet.
This site will be built to help you to identify different illnesses, some of which vary by breed, but most are common among all breeds. I will also delve into breed-specific traits and health conditions.
